Hooking Up – Interfacing Systems Into DeltaV

In the past five years, Progress Energy has faced many interfacing challenges while implementing new DeltaV projects onto existing boiler configuration sourced on a Provox platform.  Various projects with redundant PLC’s and ethernet-based devices have required the use of a variety of solutions including OPC Mirror, VIM Network Gateways and standard serial communication to achieve project success.
